Our client, a visionary leader in the energy sector, is seeking an accomplished Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager to spearhead the development and execution of innovative renewable energy projects. This is a fully remote position, empowering you to manage impactful initiatives from anywhere. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and stakeholder engagement to design, construction oversight, and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all phases of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, etc.) from inception to completion. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to evaluate project viability. Secure necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, local communities, and technology providers. Oversee the selection and management of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors. Ensure projects adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the development and construction phases. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation plans. Manage project finances, track expenditures, and ensure profitability targets are met. Prepare regular project status reports and presentations for senior management and investors. Drive innovation in project execution and explore opportunities for leveraging new renewable energy technologies. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, even in a remote setting. Contribute to the strategic development of the company's renewable energy portfolio. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant focus on renewable energy projects. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale energy projects from conception to completion. Deep understanding of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks. Strong expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP certification preferred). Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and contract management. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Ability to work independently and lead remote teams effectively. Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Experience working with international partners and diverse cultural contexts is a plus.
