Job Summary
• The Senior HR Executive Associate will play a strategic role in supporting the HR department with both operational and strategic HR initiatives within the oil & gas sector.
• This includes managing HR processes, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and organizational development.
• The ideal candidate will have strong conflict resolution skills, be highly organized, and capable of influencing and supporting management decisions at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic HR & Talent Management:
• Partner with management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
• Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning.
• Advise managers on HR best practices and organizational development initiatives.
• Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Support recruitment for oil & gas-specific roles, ensuring candidates meet technical and industry requirements.
• Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution:
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related issues.
• Proactively manage and resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
• Promote a positive work culture by addressing concerns, providing coaching, and mediating disputes.
• HR Administration & Compliance:
• Maintain accurate HR records, including personnel files, contracts, and leave records.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws, company policies, and industry-specific regulations.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, and dashboards for management review.
• Performance Management & Training:
• Support the implementation of performance appraisal systems and talent development programs.
• Assist managers in identifying training needs and developing career development plans for technical and non-technical staff.
• HR Projects & Initiatives:
• Contribute to HR projects, including policy development, HRIS implementation, and HR process improvements.
• Participate in workshops, seminars, and HR knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5 – 8 years of HR experience, preferably within the oil & gas or engineering sector.
• Proven experience in strategic HR planning and conflict resolution.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
