Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Cost Accountant, located in Lagos. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, preparing financial reports, conducting cost analysis, and performing cost control activities. Additional tasks include maintaining accurate records of journal entries, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations to support the organization's financial health and decision-making processes.
Qualifications
• Expertise in Cost Accounting and proficiency in preparing and managing Financial Statements
• Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable financial insights
• Proficiency in Journal Entries and other core Accounting functions
• Solid foundation in Finance principles and practices
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications such as ICAN or ACCA are an advantage
• Prior experience in cost accounting or similar role within a professional services or manufacturing environment is preferred
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
