A leading Building & Civil Engineering Contractors Company located in Nigeria is looking for an experienced Project Manager - Roads and Bridges to join their team.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage road construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring all phases meet project objectives, quality standards, and deadlines.
• Develop detailed project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with company and client expectations.
• Coordinate and collaborate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Supervise and monitor all aspects of road construction, including design, procurement, construction, and inspection.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and environmental laws related to road construction.
• Conduct risk management assessments, identifying potential project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs stay within the approved scope and proposing solutions for any variances.
• Prepare and deliver regular progress reports, updates, and presentations to senior management, stakeholders, and clients.
• Oversee project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and quality control records.
• Address and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process.
• Lead and mentor project teams, providing direction, training, and support to ensure the successful execution of all tasks.
• Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the project to maintain project alignment and resolve any conflicts.
• Ensure the project’s final deliverables meet client specifications and quality standards through comprehensive inspections and testing.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in road construction, with at least 5 years in project management or a leadership role.
• Extensive experience in all phases of road construction, including planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex road construction projects from start to finish.
• In-depth knowledge of road construction materials, techniques, and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills (Fluency in English is a Must).
• Expertise in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs and conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Safety certifications such as First Aid/CPR are preferred.

• Monday to Friday | 08:00 AM till 05:00 PM
• Saturday | 08:00 AM till 02:00 PM
