Our client, a prestigious educational institution, is seeking an experienced and inspiring Lead Mathematics Teacher to guide their Mathematics department and deliver exceptional instruction to students. You will be responsible for curriculum development, student assessment, and mentoring junior teaching staff, contributing to the overall academic success and pedagogical advancement of the school.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and refine the mathematics curriculum to meet educational standards and student needs, ensuring a progressive and engaging learning experience. Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction to students across various grade levels, employing diverse teaching methodologies to cater to different learning styles. Create and administer assessments, analyze student performance data, and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Lead and mentor a team of mathematics teachers, providing guidance on pedagogical best practices, classroom management, and professional development. Organize and facilitate departmental meetings, fostering collaboration and sharing of best practices among staff. Maintain accurate student records and progress reports, ensuring compliance with school policies. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and intellectual curiosity. Engage in professional development activities to stay current with educational trends and best practices in mathematics education. Collaborate with other department heads and school administrators to support the school's overall mission and objectives. Organize and supervise extracurricular math clubs or competitions to further engage students.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. A recognized teaching qualification or certification. Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in mathematics, with proven leadership capabilities. In-depth knowledge of mathematics curricula and pedagogical approaches. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities. Ability to inspire and motivate students towards academic achievement. Experience in curriculum development and assessment design. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor other educators.
