Our client, a prominent development firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead significant infrastructure development projects in Akure, Ondo, NG . This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site project oversight with remote planning and coordination.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of complex infrastructure projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure. Your duties will include defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and developing detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. You will lead and motivate project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication among all stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, government agencies, and community representatives. Risk management, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies, will be a critical aspect of your role. You will oversee project progress, track key milestones, manage budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Regular reporting on project status, risks, and issues to senior management and clients will be required. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies is paramount.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree and/or a PMP or equivalent project management certification are highly desirable. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects is required. Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget is essential. Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are mandatory. Excellent understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and financial oversight is crucial. Experience with construction management software and proficiency in relevant project management tools are necessary. The ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and navigate challenging stakeholder environments is vital for success in this demanding role.
