JOB SUMMARY
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineProfessional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA or equivalent) – mandatoryExperience: 7–12 years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting within a regulated financial institution, preferably a microfinance bank
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial recordsManage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processesPrepare and submit CBN and other regulatory returns within approved timelinesProduce management and statutory financial reports for EXCO and the BoardCoordinate internal and external audits and resolve audit issues promptlyEnsure compliance with IFRS, CBN guidelines, and prudential requirementsReconcile core banking systems, general ledger, and regulatory reportsDrive finance process improvements and reporting efficiency
