Job Description
Responsibilities
• Monitor daily cash positions across branches, vaults, and bank accounts.
• Ensure adequate liquidity to support customer withdrawals, loan disbursements, and operational needs.
• Prepare daily cash position and liquidity reports for management.
• Process inter-branch cash movements and fund transfers in line with approved limits.
• Liaise with correspondent banks on settlement, float management, and operational issues.
• Support investment of excess funds in approved money market instruments, where applicable.
• Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, cash accounts, and clearing/suspense accounts.
• Reconcile customer transaction accounts, loan repayments, savings deposits, and interest postings.
• Reconcile electronic payment channels including POS, mobile money, USSD, ATM, and transfer platforms.
• Investigate, document, and resolve reconciliation differences promptly.
• Escalate unresolved discrepancies in line with internal procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification ICAN, ACCA is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3–6 years’ experience in a microfinance bank, commercial bank, or financial institution.
