About Us:
Naijatutors Konnect is an award-winning virtual tutoring platform connecting experienced Nigerian tutors with children in the diaspora. We provide flexible, culturally relevant support to children aged 5 to 16 in academic subjects, skills-based programs, and specialized learning support — including SEN.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate, experienced Special Education Needs Tutor who can support children with diverse learning profiles — including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech delays, and other diagnosed or undiagnosed learning differences.

This is a highly personalized role for someone who understands how to meet students where they are, tailor lessons to individual needs, and work collaboratively with families to support each child’s learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one virtual tutoring tailored to each child’s unique learning needs and pace
• Adapt curriculum materials to suit learners with cognitive, sensory, behavioral, or emotional challenges
• Use visual aids, structured routines, and interactive strategies to enhance learning and engagement
• Communicate with parents regularly and share session updates and strategies for reinforcement at home
• Track progress over time and adjust instruction accordingly
• Maintain a calm, respectful, and affirming learning environment online
• Collaborate with the Naijatutors team to align with best practices and curriculum guidance

Requirements:
• A degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field (or certification in SEN support)
• Minimum of 2 years working with children with learning differences (experience in virtual settings preferred)
• Ability to differentiate instruction for various abilities within the 5–16 age range
• Excellent communication skills — with both students and parents
• Skilled in using digital tools (PowerPoint, visual schedules, reward charts, online assessments, etc.)
• Reliable internet, a laptop with webcam, and a quiet teaching space
• Warm, patient, and encouraging demeanor
• Familiarity with British, Canadian, American, or Nigerian learning standards is an added advantage
