Job Title: Gas Commercial Expert
Location: Lagos (hybrid)

Role Overview
• We are seeking an experienced Gas Commercial Expert to lead the structuring, negotiation, and management of gas and LNG commercial arrangements for its virtual pipeline and small-scale LNG projects in Nigeria.
• The role is responsible for ensuring that gas supply, pricing, and offtake contracts are commercially viable, risk-balanced, and bankable, supporting project delivery, financing, and long-term profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Gas Supply & Offtake Structuring:
• Structure and negotiate Gas Sales and Purchase Agreements (GSPAs) for LNG and CNG supplied to industrial, power, and commercial customers.
• Structure upstream gas supply agreements and ensure alignment with downstream volume and delivery commitments.
• Balance gas volumes, delivery obligations, and operational constraints across the value chain.
Pricing & Market Strategy:
• Develop and maintain pricing models for virtual pipeline LNG/CNG, benchmarked against diesel, LPFO, grid electricity, and other competing fuels.
• Advise on escalation formulas, FX indexation, and pricing adjustment mechanisms.
• Support market entry strategy and identification of anchor and growth customers.
Commercial Risk & Bankability:
• Structure and negotiate take-or-pay, payment security, credit support, and termination provisions.
• Identify and mitigate volume, FX, counterparty, regulatory, and logistics risks.
• Support lender and investor due diligence by providing robust commercial inputs and documentation.
Contract & Stakeholder Management:
• Work closely with legal advisers on term sheets, commercial principles, and final contracts.
• Support negotiations with gas suppliers, transporters, logistics providers, and customers.
• Interface with regulators and industry stakeholders where commercial input is required.
Strategic & Management Support:
• Provide commercial advice to management on deal structuring and growth strategy.
• Support financial modelling, investment memoranda, and funding discussions.
• Monitor performance of gas supply and offtake contracts post-execution.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
• An advanced degree or commercial training is an advantage.
Experience
• 10–15 years of experience in gas commercialisation, LNG, gas trading, or energy markets.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating GSPAs and gas supply agreements, preferably in Nigeria.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian gas regulatory and commercial environment.
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong commercial negotiation and deal-structuring skills.
• Deep understanding of gas economics, pricing, and project bankability.
• Ability to operate independently in a lean, fast-moving organization.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• High integrity and commercial judgement.

Remuneration
• N450,000 to N500,000 monthly gross.
