Job Summary
• Grundtvig International Secondary School seeks to employ a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support effective teaching and learning in the school.
• He/she will work with the subject teachers to provide personalised academic support to students who require additional guidance, reinforcement, or clarification of scientific concepts.
• This support is distinct from remedial classes and is designed to be small-group or one-on-one, allowing for closer monitoring of learning progress and improved student confidence.
• The role also involves assisting in classroom activities, practical sessions, lesson preparation, assessments, and general academic mentoring.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
• A good First Degree B.Ed, or B.Sc [Ed] in Chemistry and Physics or a related discipline.
• At least 1 - 3 years’ relevant teaching or academic support experience teaching practice inclusive.
• Sound understanding of secondary school science curricula.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently to learners of varying abilities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and classroom support skills.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and work under supervision.
• Passion for student development and academic excellence.
