Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Remote Human Resources Generalist to support their growing organization. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to manage a broad range of HR functions from anywhere within Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded HR professional with experience in recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, HRIS management, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing candidates to extending offers and onboarding new hires. You will serve as a primary point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and benefits. This role involves developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. You will also be involved in employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment. The HR Generalist will administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring their competitiveness and effectiveness. Maintaining accurate employee records and managing HR information systems (HRIS) will be a crucial part of the role. You will contribute to talent management initiatives, including performance management and employee development. The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and maintain confidentiality in a remote setting is paramount. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building trust and rapport with employees and management across the organization. You will stay abreast of changes in employment law and HR best practices, ensuring the organization remains compliant. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing HR challenges and opportunities. You will also assist in developing and delivering HR training programs.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM) is a strong asset. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably with exposure to remote work environments. Solid understanding of all core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and HR compliance. Excellent knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and employment regulations. Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office Suite. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting. High level of professionalism, discretion, and ethical conduct. Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage sensitive employee issues with confidentiality and empathy. Experience in employee onboarding and offboarding processes. Good presentation skills for delivering HR information. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
