Job Summary
• We're seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Accounts to lead our accounting team and oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and financial management.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, providing financial insights to support business decisions, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the organization.
• Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports and other financial documentation.
• Accounting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Team Management: Lead and manage a team of accountants, providing guidance, training and development opportunities.
• Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the organization's financial stability.
Requirements
• Education: HND/Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in accounting, including 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• Certifications: Professional certification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
