Our client is a rapidly growing software development firm seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Project Manager to guide their software development lifecycle. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple projects, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to navigate complex project environments.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of project managers and project coordinators. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects from initiation to closure. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among development teams, QA, product management, and other stakeholders. Implement and refine agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to optimize development processes. Manage project dependencies, identify critical paths, and proactively address potential roadblocks. Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality assurance processes, and security best practices. Track project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions. Conduct regular project status meetings and provide comprehensive reports to senior management. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project teams. Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations as needed. Resolve conflicts and facilitate decision-making among project stakeholders. Ensure successful deployment and post-launch support of software products. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the software development industry, with at least 3 years in a lead role. Proven experience managing full software development lifecycle (SDLC) projects. Strong understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum Master certification is highly desirable). Excellent knowledge of software development processes, tools, and technologies. Exceptional leadership, team management, and motivational skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, MS Project). Experience with requirements gathering, scope definition, and change management. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Strong understanding of risk management and quality assurance.
