Job Description
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development & Execution:
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth.
• Set sales targets and ensure the team meets or exceeds those targets by setting clear expectations and providing guidance and support.
• Identify new business opportunities and markets to target.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term business growth.
• Develop pricing strategies, sales proposals, and promotional offers tailored to the target market.
Marketing Strategy Development & Campaign Management:
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, customer acquisition, and engagement.
• Oversee the creation and execution of both digital and traditional marketing campaigns, including email, social media, print, SEO, content marketing, and event marketing.
• Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficient campaigns that generate a positive return on investment (ROI).
• Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to refine marketing strategies and adjust approaches as necessary.
• Collaborate with creative teams (internal or external) to develop branding and messaging that aligns with company values and goals
Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead, motivate, and develop the sales and marketing team, setting clear goals and objectives.
• Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to enhance team members' skills and drive their professional growth.
• Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with company goals, address any challenges, and encourage collaboration.
• Foster a high-performance culture by setting benchmarks and ensuring the team has the resources and support to succeed.
Market Research & Analysis:
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities.
• Analyse customer data, segment markets, and identify opportunities for product or service improvement and innovation.
• Prepare regular market analysis reports and present findings to senior management, providing recommendations for business strategies.
• Track, analyse, and report on the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies based on performance metrics
Brand Management & Public Relations:
• Oversee the management of the company’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing and sales materials.
• Work closely with PR teams or external agencies to develop media strategies and secure media coverage.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with media outlets, influencers, and industry organisations to increase brand recognition and credibility.
• Ensure that the brand message is aligned with the company’s values and resonates with the target audience.
Sales & Marketing Reporting:
• Provide regular performance reports, including sales figures, marketing campaign performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Analyse sales and marketing data to determine the success of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
• Present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to senior management and stakeholders on progress toward sales goals, marketing efforts, and ROI.
Collaboration With Other Departments:
• Collaborate with other departments, including product development, customer service, and operations, to ensure alignment in business strategies.
• Work with the customer service team to gather customer feedback and insights, integrating them into sales and marketing strategies.
• Coordinate with the finance department to align sales goals with budget planning, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasts.
Event Planning & Management:
• Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events, trade shows, and promotional activities to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
• Work with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless execution of events and campaigns.
• Engage with potential clients at industry events, promoting the company’s offerings and strengthening relationships.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Digital Marketing, Sales Management) is a plus
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing sales teams and executing marketing campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in both B2B and B2C sales and marketing is a plus
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of digital marketing tools, techniques, and platforms (e.g., SEO, social media, email marketing, Google Analytics).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing automation tools.
• Strong understanding of branding, public relations, and media strategies.
• Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
