Job Description
Our client is looking for a highly experienced and results-oriented Offshore Production Supervisor to oversee deepwater operations in Port Harcourt, Rivers, NG . This critical role involves managing daily production activities, ensuring the safety of personnel, and maximizing the efficiency of oil and gas extraction processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of production operators, technicians, and engineers, fostering a culture of safety, and driving operational excellence. You will monitor production equipment performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize output. A key aspect of this role is ensuring strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, as well as company policies and industry best practices. You will be involved in planning and scheduling maintenance activities, managing inventory of critical spare parts, and participating in emergency response drills. This position demands strong leadership capabilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of offshore production systems, including separation, processing, and injection facilities. You must be proficient in interpreting production data, generating reports, and communicating findings to senior management. The ability to work effectively under pressure in a challenging offshore environment is essential. Responsibilities: Supervise daily offshore production operations and personnel. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all production facilities. Monitor production equipment and troubleshoot any malfunctions. Implement HSE policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Optimize production rates and minimize operational downtime. Manage and mentor a team of production staff. Plan and coordinate routine and corrective maintenance. Maintain accurate production logs and generate operational reports. Participate in emergency preparedness and response activities. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Manage spare parts inventory for critical production equipment. Collaborate with other departments like drilling, reservoir engineering, and maintenance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in offshore oil and gas production operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. In-depth knowledge of offshore production processes and equipment. Strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in production data analysis and reporting. Experience with emergency response procedures. Ability to work in a demanding offshore environment, including shift work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
