We're looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our technology company!
As a key member of our finance team, you'll be responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and company policies
• Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Compliance: Compute and file statutory taxes, and ensure timely remittance
• Audit Support: Assist in company tax audits and statutory audits
• Asset Management: Prepare and update fixed asset schedule monthly
• Payroll Management: Prepare staff payroll and perform monthly payroll reconciliation
• Invoicing and Shipment: Prepare customer invoices and coordinate shipment process for imported materials and equipment
• Financial Analysis: Provide financial data and variance analysis to support budgeting and forecasting exercises
Requirements:
• Qualified accountant with experience in financial accounting
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
