Job Description
Job Purpose:
• The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing construction projects from initiation to completion. This includes planning, organizing, and coordinating resources to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with established quality standards. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to design specifications and smooth project execution, effectively bridging the gap between design and implementation.
Key responsibilities:
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the assigned engineering projects
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications
• Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
• Perform overall quality control of the work budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance and report regularly on project status
• Assign responsibilities and mentor the project team
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with the project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
• Manage project risk and identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide technical support to the project team and address any technical issues that arise during construction
• Communicate project status to the project manager
• Coordinate all relevant drawings and ensure proper documentation
Key requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management/Project Engineering experience in oil and gas is mandatory
• Experience in leading a team to deliver an EPCC project will be highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in project management software e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of engineering principles
• Professional Engineer PE license preferred
• Must be computer literate with sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
