The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of their subject matter, a flair for creative online teaching methodologies, and a commitment to student development. You will utilize our state-of-the-art virtual learning environment, including interactive whiteboards, video conferencing tools, and learning management systems. This remote position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to manage a virtual classroom effectively, and a strong internet connection. You will collaborate with curriculum developers and fellow educators to continuously enhance the online learning experience.
Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective online instruction in your designated subject area. Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum. Facilitate interactive online class sessions, discussions, and collaborative activities. Assess student learning through assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic performance. Maintain accurate student records within the Learning Management System (LMS). Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress. Participate in virtual faculty meetings, professional development, and curriculum review sessions. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive online learning environment. Troubleshoot technical issues related to the online learning platform. Stay current with educational technology trends and best practices in virtual instruction. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of online learners. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area (e.g., BSc in Physics, English Literature). A recognized teaching qualification or license is required. Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching at the high school level. Proven experience or strong aptitude for online teaching and using educational technology. Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and virtual classroom tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, Moodle, Blackboard). Excellent subject matter expertise and pedagogical skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a professional remote workspace. Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate computer equipment. Must be legally eligible to work in Nigeria.
