About Company : Our client is a fast-growing healthcare innovator in Africa, using smart technology and rapid emergency response to save lives and make critical care accessible when it matters most.

The company is looking to hire a skilled Finance Associate who will be ultimately responsible for supporting all tactical and operational duties of the accounting function. This includes implementation of financial controls, financial reporting, payroll, analytics, statutory compliance, internal audits, and internal and external stakeholder management

The ideal candidate must be a self-driven, highly motivated individual with strong teamwork skills, a positive attitude, technical competence, and sound business acumen

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Reporting :

§ Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports (P&L, cash flow, variance reports).

§ Consolidate data from FA1 and validate entries for accuracy.

§ Support budgeting and forecasting with relevant financial analyses.

Payroll & Staff Benefits :

§ Prepare monthly payroll schedule and salary computations.

§ Manage PAYE, pension deductions, and statutory remittances.

§ Maintain employee compensation records

Internal Controls & Reconciliations :

§ Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of the general ledger.

§ Review expense retirements and verify compliance with company policy.

§ Monitor adherence to procurement and spending controls.

Compliance & Reporting :

§ Ensure timely filing of taxes : VAT, WHT, PAYE, and company taxes (in collaboration with FCFO).

§ Prepare documents for external auditors, regulatory agencies, and financial institutions.

§ Maintain the compliance checklist and escalate risks to FCFO.

Performance & Cost Efficiency Analysis

§ Conduct cost analysis of response operations (fuel, personnel, vehicle maintenance, supplies).

§ Monitor budget vs actual across departments and projects.

Provide financial insights to support decision-making

Requirements

§ B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field + Professional Qualification (ICAN, ACCA)

§ 3-5 years’ experience in finance or a similar role

§ Good knowledge of Accounting Software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, etc) and MS Excel

§ Intermediate report writing skills

§ Strong knowledge of financial reporting principles and accounting / budgeting practice

§ Experience working with donors or grants management is a plus

Benefits

Compensation : Pay is N400,000 – N500,000 M0nthly + other interesting benefits
