Job Description
The Emerging Markets Sales Specialist is a pivotal role designed to drive market penetration and revenue growth particularly in the Warri, Benin & Sapele corridors as well as other regions in general. The specialist will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities in the Benin, Warri and Sapele axis while nurturing existing client relationships. This role requires a deep understanding of the local industry landscape, regulatory environment, and the ability to sell complex, high-value technical solutions precisely our OEM products/equipment’s to major players in the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments.
Working under the guidance and supervision of the Manager, Sales & Business Development (MSBD) and in close collaboration with the Procurement and Technical teams, as well as other key stakeholders, to identify opportunities, nurture leads, and close successful deals.
Key Responsibilities and KPI:
Sales Development & Market Penetration:
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new emerging market opportunities, untapped segments, and potential clients within Nigeria and the assigned region.
• Develop and execute a robust strategic sales plan for the territory, outlining target accounts, growth initiatives, and required resources.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, consistently filling it with qualified leads and opportunities.
• Actively target National Oil Companies (NOCs), International Oil Companies (IOCs), Independent Operators, and major EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors.
Sales & Client Relationship Management:
• Serve as the primary sales contact for clients, understanding their operational challenges, and positioning Fedoz’ OEM product solutions as the optimal value-add.
• Prepare and deliver compelling technical and commercial presentations, proposals, and tenders.
• Lead contract negotiations, ensuring profitable and sustainable agreements while managing client expectations.
• Build and maintain long-term, strategic relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., Procurement Managers, Engineering Managers, Project Managers, C-suite executives).
Tender & Proposal Management:
• Support bid process for major tenders, from initial identification and qualification to submission and post-bid clarification.
• Collaborate closely with technical and finance teams to develop comprehensive and competitive bid packages as shall be applicable
• Ensure all proposals are aligned with client specifications, local content requirements, and company profitability targets.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends, providing regular intelligence reports to Management - MSBD
• Maintain a deep understanding of the local regulatory framework, including the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act.
• Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work seamlessly with the operations, project management, and procurement-service delivery teams to ensure a smooth sale to project execution and after sales processes.
• Provide voice-of-client feedback to help shape future offerings..
• Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and support business expansion.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners to enhance client satisfaction and long-term engagement.
• Introducing and marketing all product lines from our OEM partners, e.g. VIAR, QUAM, and Amaru Mechanique.
Educational And Professional Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. An MBA or Postgraduate degree in Business/Marketing is desirable. Other degrees with a deep demonstrable understanding of the O&G sectorial knowledge and sales/business development experience can be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years of proven technical sales and business development experience within the Nigeria oil and gas industry.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of upstream (drilling, completion, production), midstream (pipelines, processing), and/or downstream (refining, distribution) operations.
Network: Established and verifiable network of contacts within key NOCs (e.g., NNPC Ltd.), IOCs, and major indigenous operators in Nigeria.
Regulatory Acumen: Thorough knowledge of the Nigerian oil and gas regulatory environment, with specific expertise in local content compliance.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to understand and sell complex technical products/services.
Desirable:
Experience selling in other emerging markets is desirable
Experience with tender and contracting process for large-scale oil and gas projects is desirable
Proficiency in using SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced PowerPoint and Excel for analysis and presentations.

Pay: ₦350,400.00 - ₦550,000.00 per month
