Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Islamic Studies Teacher to join our weekend madrasah. The ideal candidate will be passionate about nurturing young Muslims, instilling Islamic values, and delivering engaging lessons that strengthen both faith and character.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach Qur’an recitation tajweed, memorization, and understanding.
• Deliver lessons on Islamic Studies, including fiqh, lughah/mutali’ah, seerah, and adab.
• Prepare age-appropriate lesson plans and teaching materials.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with school leadership to enhance the madrasah curriculum.
• Serve as a role model in Islamic conduct and character.
Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Qur’an, Sunnah, and core Islamic sciences.
• Ability to teach tajweed and Qur’an recitation effectively.
• Previous teaching experience in a madrasah or Islamic school preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
• Commitment to Islamic values and the spiritual development of students.
• Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with children and youth.
