JOB SUMMARY
JOB REQUIRMENTSEducation• Good first degree, preferably in numerate discipline• Preference for postgraduate degree or other professional qualification (CFA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) Experience Minimum of 5 years working experience in corporate finance, investment banking and capital management in Financial Services or related industry
RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Execute inorganic growth plans (M&A, partnerships, etc) of FirstBank Groupb) Ensure all Group investments are properly valued and reportedc) Prepare capital plan & reports, including ICAAP, for the Group and support implementation of samed) Support preparation of Bank’s Recovery and Resolution Plane) Ensure compliance with relevant policies and frameworks, including Group Capital Management Framework, investment management framework, capital hedging framework, etcf) Execute capital raising, including Tier I and Tier II, for the bank and its subsidiariesg) Support capital allocation across the Group to ensure shareholder value is optimized.h) Manage the Bank’s portfolio of investments to optimize returnsi) Ensure relevant policies and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are up to date and reviewed as and when duej) Ensure adherence to SLAs and agreements with vendors k) Prepare Request for Proposals (RFPs) for Advisors for Corporate Finance transactions l) Work with relevant stakeholders to prepare transaction documents, including Term Sheets, Information memoranda, Valuation Analysis, etc and coordinate the delivery of same m) Facilitate the Bank’s credit rating process to achieve set target credit ratingn) Coordinate all relevant management, board and regulatory approvals for capital raising corporate finance decisions and investments of the FirstBank Group.o) Project manage corporate finance activities, including tracking post transaction value accretion.p) Provide insight on the financial performance of potential targets and expected value accretion from transactions.q) Prepare reports and presentation to engage the Management Committee (MANCO) and Board of Directors on potential targets and transaction opportunities.Carry out any assigned roles as mandated by the HOD or HOU
