Teaching & Learning:
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum framework.
• Use play-based and inquiry-based learning strategies.
• Support early literacy, numeracy, and social skills development.
• Observe and assess children’s progress and maintain accurate records.
Child Development & Welfare:
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor children’s emotional and social development.
• Identify developmental delays or concerns and escalate appropriately.
• Ensure adherence to safeguarding and child protection policies.
Classroom Management:
• Maintain an organised, stimulating, and child-friendly classroom.
• Prepare learning materials and resources.
• Promote positive behaviour through guidance and reinforcement.
Parent Engagement:
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s progress.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
• Provide guidance to parents on supporting learning at home.
Compliance & Professional Standards:
• Adhere to school policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of child and family information.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or NCE in Early Childhood Education or related fields
• Relevant teaching certification
• 2 - 4 years’ experience in early years education preferred
• Knowledge of EYFS or relevant early childhood curriculum framework.
