This is a full-time on-site role in Abuja for a Human Resources Officer at Venus Finance. The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for HR management, developing HR policies, managing employee relations, and developing job descriptions.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries.
• Coordinate employee relations events and maintain related documentation.
• Monitor and manage staff attendance and time-off requests.
• Implement and maintain absence tracking systems.
• Coordinate appraisals and manage the performance database.
• Support talent management initiatives and monitor staff performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with statutory labor requirements.
• Support timely policy reviews and enforce HR policies.
• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
• Prepare regular reports and provide administrative support.
• Manage office stationery and equipment needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job advertisement, candidate assessment, interviews, and offer letters.
• Develop and update job descriptions.
• Oversee onboarding and induction for new hires.
• Conduct training needs analysis and coordinate training programs.
• Document and track employee learning progress and certifications.
• Support payroll processes and employee benefits administration.
• Monitor and manage employee attrition trends and exit interviews.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant HR experience.
• Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in developing HR policies and job descriptions.
• Proven experience in employee relations and performance management.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• HR certifications e.g., CIPM, SHRM are an added advantage.
