CPayant is a trade-focused fintech company providing efficient cross-border payment and settlement solutions for African SMEs and Manufacturers. We are looking for a high-energy Sales Associate based in Lagos to join us in a Hybrid capacity.
In this role, you will spend the majority of your time in the field building relationships within Nigeria’s key trade hubs, supported by remote reporting and strategic sync-ups. If you have a background in Microfinance (MFB) or Fintech Merchant Acquisition and a deep rolodex of importers, this is your opportunity to build the future of trade-tech.
Key Responsibilities:
• Field-Based Acquisition: Prospect and sign up SMEs and large-scale traders involved in intra-African and international trade (China, UAE, Turkey, etc.).
• Hybrid Coordination: Work remotely to manage your pipeline while maintaining a strong physical presence in major hubs like Alaba International, Idumota, and Computer Village.
• Corporate Partnerships: Engage manufacturers and distributors to adopt CPayant for their cross-border payment needs.
• Relationship Management: Act as a consultant for businesses looking to bypass FX bottlenecks using our settlement solutions.
• Reporting: Utilize digital tools to maintain a daily log of field visits and lead status.
Requirements:
• Experience: 2–3 years of proven sales experience in Microfinance (MFB), Agency Banking, or B2B Fintech.
• Network: An existing portfolio of SME clients or importers in Lagos is highly preferred.
• Hybrid Proficiency: Ability to work independently in the field while staying disciplined with digital reporting and remote team communication.
• Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to simplify complex financial solutions.
• Education: Minimum of an OND/HND/B.Sc. in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
