Job Title: Cambridge / IGCSE English Language Teacher

Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cambridge / IGCSE English Language Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will teach English Language to secondary school students preparing for Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE examinations. The teacher will help students develop strong reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills in line with the Cambridge curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach English Language according to the Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE curriculum
Prepare students for Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE examinations
Develop engaging lesson plans and instructional materials
Teach reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, and speaking skills
Assess and monitor student progress through tests, assignments, and projects
Provide academic guidance and feedback to students and parents
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment
Qualifications:
Native or near-native English speaker
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field
Teaching qualification (PGCE, TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA preferred)
Experience teaching Cambridge or IGCSE English curriculum
Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in an international school
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent spoken and written English
Ability to teach essay writing and literary analysis
Strong knowledge of Cambridge assessment standards
Ability to motivate and support ESL learners
