Job Description
Job Purpose To deliver high-quality ICT instruction aligned with the Nigerian and IGCSE curricula, equipping students with digital literacy, computational thinking, and practical technology skills necessary for academic success and real-world application. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons in line with Nigerian (WAEC/NECO/BECE) and IGCSE syllabi. Teach key areas such as computer fundamentals, data representation, programming, databases, spreadsheets, web development, networking, and cybersecurity basics. Prepare students effectively for internal and external examinations. Integrate practical, hands-on activities to strengthen digital competence. Assess students’ work and provide timely, constructive feedback. Maintain and manage the ICT laboratory, ensuring safe and responsible use of equipment. Promote digital citizenship and online safety. Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular tech initiatives (e.g., coding club, robotics). Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field. Teaching qualification (PGDE/TRCN or equivalent). Experience teaching Nigerian and/or IGCSE ICT/Computer Science curriculum. Strong knowledge of programming (e.g., Python, Scratch, or similar), productivity tools, and database concepts. Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning. Good classroom management and communication skills.
