How You'll Make an Impact
• We are seeking a creative and detail-driven Associate – Marketing & Communications to elevate and amplify the BPS brand and sharpen our narrative positioning.
• In this role, you will drive compelling internal and external communications that showcase our impact across Africa’s energy sector.
• We are looking for a sharp writer and strategic thinker with a passion for powerful storytelling at the intersection of technology and energy.
What You'll Do
Content Creation & Copywriting:
• Draft, edit, and proofread insight-led content for various channels, including social media, blog posts, newsletters, press releases, and website copy
• Support the translation of complex technical and operational work into clear, compelling narratives that position BPS as a thought leader in Africa’s energy sector.
Social Media Management:
• Ensure the day-to-day management of BPS’s social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X), ensuring consistent brand voice and visual identity.
• Build and execute strategic content calendars aligned with business priorities and campaign objectives.
• Track engagement metrics and audience insights to continuously optimize performance and reach
Brand Strategy Support:
• Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns aligned with corporate goals and growth priorities
• Strengthen brand visibility and positioning across key markets through targeted storytelling and audience segmentation
Internal Communications:
• Partner with internal teams to craft impactful announcements, newsletters, and leadership communications
• Support employer branding initiatives that reinforce culture, engagement, and talent attraction
Event & Webinar Coordination:
• Support the planning and coordination of webinars, conferences, and industry engagements that showcase BPS’s expertise and impact
• Amplify event visibility through pre- and post-event communications across digital platforms
What We're Looking For
Professional & Technical Strengths:
• Experience in marketing, corporate communications, public relations, or a related role.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, tone, and grammar
• Proven experience managing corporate social media accounts and creating engaging digital content
• Proficiency with marketing and analytics tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Canva), with working knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
• Ability to distill complex technical or energy-related concepts into clear, persuasive, and audience-focused narratives
Leadership & Interpersonal Strengths:
• Ability to collaborate with multicultural and geographically distributed teams
• High degree of autonomy and accountability (we operate within a hybrid work environment)
• Proactive, self-driven professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines
• Strong cross-functional collaborator, capable of working across departments to ensure aligned and consistent storytelling
• Clear, structured communicator with strong organizational skills and sound judgment
Nice to Have:
• Experience in a B2B technology, SaaS, or fast-growth company environment
• Familiarity with graphic design or video editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite)
• Fluency in French
