The Junior Accountant will support the accounting department by performing daily accounting tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, assisting with audits, and preparing financial reports. • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including verifying, coding, and posting invoices.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage general ledger entries.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Prepare and submit tax filings under supervision.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and organize financial documents and records.
• Perform other accounting duties as required.
• *Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of accounting experience (Fresh Graduates and NYSC Corps Members can apply)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
