Job Description
Role Overview The HR & Operations Executive at TheLuxeShopper will be responsible for executing and supporting end-to-end HR operations alongside key business and administrative processes.

This role combines human resources and operational coordination, requiring a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can take ownership of recruitment, employee management, payroll processes, and internal coordination. The role may also support HR and operational activities across associated brands and business ventures where required.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Talent Management
• Manage and support end-to-end recruitment processes from role briefing to onboarding
• Draft job descriptions and post vacancies across job boards and social platforms
• Screen CVs and shortlist candidates in line with hiring requirements
• Coordinate interviews and manage candidate communication
• Maintain and develop a talent pipeline for retail and corporate roles

Onboarding & Employee Experience
• Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires
• Prepare offer letters and employment contracts
• Ensure completion of documentation and compliance checks
• Organize induction schedules and onboarding sessions
• Track probation periods and support confirmation processes
• Support employee engagement initiatives

Payroll Processing & Nigeria Statutory Compliance
• Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time
• Ensure correct calculation of salaries, allowances, and deductions
• Administer statutory deductions in line with Nigerian regulations, including:
• PAYE (Pay As You Earn)
• Pension contributions (Employer & Employee)
• Reconcile payroll data prior to approval
• Liaise with Finance for payroll processing and funding
• Prepare payroll reports and variance analysis
• Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions
• Maintain payroll records and compliance documentation
• Handle payroll-related employee queries
• Support year-end tax documentation

Operations & Administrative Coordination
• Support day-to-day business operations through coordination and follow-up
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
• Manage HR documentation including letters, policies, and records
• Track employee attendance, leave, and absences
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
• Support general administrative processes across the business

Employee Relations
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee queries and concerns
• Manage employee issues and escalate where necessary
• Support disciplinary, grievance, and investigation processes
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive matters
• Promote positive employee relations across teams

Performance Management & Development
• Coordinate performance review cycles
• Track employee objectives and development plans
• Support managers with performance documentation
• Assist in implementing learning and development initiatives

HR Projects & Initiatives
• Support HR projects including engagement surveys and culture initiatives
• Assist with policy updates and internal communication
• Contribute to employer branding and recruitment initiatives
• Support diversity and inclusion efforts where applicable

• Working knowledge of HR processes and employment practices
• Experience with HR analytics and reporting (desirable)

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• CIPM qualification (or working towards) preferred
• 3–5 years HR experience, preferably in a retail or fashion environment
• Experience supporting HR operations and recruitment
