Overview
• A Panel Beater is responsible for repairing damaged vehicle body panels and restoring them to their original condition.
• The role involves working on vehicles that have been involved in accidents or have general wear and tear, ensuring high-quality finishing and structural integrity.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods
• Repair dents, scratches, and damaged panels using specialized tools and equipment
• Remove and replace damaged panels where necessary
• Straighten vehicle frames and realign chassis components
• Fill, sand, and smooth surfaces in preparation for painting
• Work closely with spray painters to ensure a high-quality finish
• Use welding equipment and other tools safely and effectively
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and manufacturer standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Keep accurate records of work carried out
Requirements & Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Panel Beater for a minimum of 10 years
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and tools
• Ability to use welding and panel beating equipment
• Good understanding of vehicle structures and materials
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical strength and staminer
