Role Overview

As a Maternity Nurse, you play a vital role in supporting mothers and newborns during the critical early stages of life. You provide hands-on care, guidance, and reassurance helping families transition smoothly into parenthood with confidence and proper support.

You work closely with families to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of both mother and baby, offering expert care, education, and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide newborn care, including feeding support, bathing, sleep routines, and hygiene.
• Support mothers with postnatal recovery, including guidance on physical and emotional well-being.
• Assist with breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, offering practical and informed support.
• Establish and guide families on safe sleep routines and baby care practices.
• Monitor the baby’s development and identify any early signs of concern, escalating when necessary.
• Educate parents on newborn care, hygiene, and handling techniques.
• Maintain daily care logs and provide updates to families.
• Work collaboratively with families and, where necessary, healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements
