Job Summary • The Van Sales Representative is responsible for driving company sales by distributing and selling products directly to retailers and customers within assigned routes.
• The role involves maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring product availability in outlets, collecting payments where applicable, and achieving daily and monthly sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive the company van to assigned territories to sell and distribute company products.
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets set by management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and other customers.
• Ensure proper product display and visibility in customer outlets where applicable.
• Take orders from customers and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Collect payments from customers and ensure accurate documentation of transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, stock movement, and customer feedback.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands and report to the Sales Supervisor.
• Ensure proper handling and care of products to avoid damages.
• Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle.
• Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Minimum of SSCE / OND qualification.
• 1 - 3 years experience in van sales, field sales, or FMCG sales is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a manual vehicle.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
• Basic numerical and record-keeping skills.
