Job Description
Main Function • The Sales & Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing daily sales performance and managing inventory to ensure accurate stock control, availability of products, and prevention of losses.
• The role ensures that sales targets are achieved while maintaining proper inventory records, minimizing wastage, and enforcing strict accountability in stock handling and reporting.
Role Responsibilities

Sales Monitoring & Performance Management:

• Monitor daily sales activities and ensure sales targets are achieved.
• Track sales trends and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
• Supervise sales staff to ensure proper customer service and sales discipline.
• Ensure all sales are properly recorded in the POS or approved system.
• Investigate any unusual drop in sales or inconsistencies in reports.
Inventory Management & Stock Control:
• Maintain accurate records of all stock received, issued, and remaining.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks.
• Reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
• Monitor usage of raw materials, ingredients, and finished products.
• Ensure proper storage of items to prevent spoilage or damage.
Stock Requisition & Supply Coordination:
• Prepare stock requests based on usage and demand.
• Ensure timely availability of ingredients and packaging materials.
• Follow up with suppliers or store officers on pending supplies.
• Prevent stock-out of critical items.
• Verify quantity and quality of items received.
Loss Prevention & Accountability:
• Detect and report shortages, wastage, or suspicious stock movement.
• Enforce strict control on issuance of stock to kitchen or sales unit.
• Ensure proper authorization before releasing items.
• Monitor portion control and usage to reduce waste.
• Investigate any variance and report to management.
Sales & Stock Reporting:
• Prepare daily sales and stock reports.
• Submit weekly and monthly inventory summaries.
• Report slow-moving or expired items.
• Provide accurate data for decision making.
• Maintain proper documentation of all transactions.
Supervision & Team Coordination:
• Supervise store staff, cashiers, and sales personnel.
• Ensure all staff follow company procedures.
• Train staff on proper stock handling and recording.
• Maintain discipline and accountability.
• Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen, store, and sales unit.
Compliance & Operational Control:
• Ensure all procedures follow company policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in storage areas.
• Ensure proper labeling and arrangement of stock.
• Support internal audit and inspection when required.
• Ensure accurate use of inventory forms and records.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Minimum of HND / Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, or related field.
• 3-5 years experience in sales, inventory, or store management.
• Experience in restaurant, fast food, retail, or FMCG environment is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of stock control and sales reporting.
