Job Description
Our client, a major player in the energy sector, is seeking a skilled and results-driven Oil & Gas Production Engineer to join their operations team. This critical role will focus on optimizing the production of oil and gas assets, ensuring efficient and safe operations in compliance with environmental standards. The Production Engineer will be responsible for analyzing production data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to maximize recovery and operational efficiency. This position requires a strong understanding of reservoir engineering, production facilities, and process optimization within the upstream oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and analyzing oil and gas production rates and performance data. Developing and implementing production optimization strategies to enhance recovery and efficiency. Troubleshooting production issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime. Conducting technical evaluations of production facilities and equipment. Collaborating with reservoir engineers to forecast production and manage field development. Ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations. Preparing technical reports and presentations on production performance and recommendations. Evaluating and recommending new technologies and methodologies to improve production operations. Managing budgets for production-related activities and projects. Providing technical guidance and support to field operations personnel.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in oil and gas production engineering is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with proficiency in production software and simulation tools, are essential. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are necessary to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental best practices in the oil and gas industry is mandatory.
