Legal Digital NG is seeking a highly organised Project & Administration Manager to oversee project execution, editorial workflows, and administrative operations across our legal publishing and digital legal services.
This role is critical to ensuring that law reports, legal data, and editorial content move efficiently from raw court judgments to final publication, while maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and professional standards expected of a legal information platform.
The ideal candidate is a lawyer with strong project management and operational skills, capable of balancing editorial precision with administrative efficiency. Key Roles & Responsibilities

Project
Management & Editorial Workflow
Coordinate the end-to-end production of law reports and legal content, from receipt of court judgments to final digital or print publication.
Manage strict publication timelines, ensuring reporters, editors, proof-readers, and contributors meet deadlines.
Identify workflow bottlenecks within the editorial process and implement solutions to improve speed without compromising legal accuracy.
Allocate resources efficiently by assigning tasks to internal staff and external freelance reporters or case summarizers.
Enforce quality control standards, ensuring compliance with editorial style guides, citation rules, and legal accuracy benchmarks.
• Administrative & Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day office administration, ensuring smooth operations, adequate supplies, and a productive work environment.
Manage recordkeeping, indexing, and archiving of case files, manuscripts, and legal documentation in secure systems.
Ensure compliance with copyright law, data protection regulations, and jurisdictional publishing requirements.
Coordinate and manage relationships with external vendors, including printers, database service providers, and freelance contributors.
• Financial & Budgetary Control
Develop and monitor project and administrative budgets for publishing operations.
Process and track vendor invoices, freelancer payments, and operational expenses.
Analyse cost variances and implement corrective measures to control expenditure and improve efficiency.
• Technology & Digital Publishing
Oversee the use of Content Management Systems (CMS) and legal databases for publishing and content distribution.
Support digital transformation initiatives, including automation of repetitive tasks such as citation checks and document processing.
Liaise with IT teams to ensure staff access to required legal research tools, databases, and software platforms. 5.
Stakeholder
Communication & Reporting
Act as the central liaison between editorial teams, legal researchers, IT, and senior management.
Provide regular status updates and reports on project progress, publication timelines, and operational performance.
Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess project success and workflow efficiency.
Summary of Key Competencies & Requirements
LL.B and BL; must be a qualified lawyer.
5–7 years post-call experience, preferably in:
Legal publishing
Law reporting
Legal administration or Legal Project Management (LPM)
Strong organisational, communication, and multitasking skills.
High attention to detail with a strong commitment to legal accuracy.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
Project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Trello)
Legal research databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw or equivalents)
