Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer (Generalist) to join our team at Mother of Christ Specialist Hospital, Ogui-Enugu, Enugu State.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the hospital’s human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, attendance management, documentation, staff welfare, performance management, and general HR administration.
The HR Officer will work closely with management and department heads to ensure smooth HR operations, compliance with company policies, and a positive work environment for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage recruitment, screening, and onboarding processes
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation
• Monitor attendance, leave, and staff schedules
• Support staff welfare and employee engagement activities
• Handle disciplinary matters and employee relations issues
• Assist with performance management and appraisals
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and labor regulations
• Prepare HR reports and other administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Previous HR experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational and multitasking ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
