RoleOveview The Senior Finance Officer owns execution and ensures that every transaction is captured, every statutory obligation is met, and every FX position is managed with precision. This is a demanding role covering treasury, tax, payroll, AP/AR, and inte rnal conrols.
Key R es ponsiilities
• Trea
sur y & FX Oerations
• Monitor daily balances across NGN, USD, GBP, and EUR to ensure liquidity for co r ridor setlements.
• Manage FX exposure and track open positions daily; execute conve rsi ons at optmal rates.
• Reconcile nostro and vostro accounts weekly, resolving b reaks withn 48 hours.
• Maintain a rolling 4-week cash flow forecast to p rev ent liquidit shortfalls.
2.Statutory & ax Compliance
• Own the full Nigerian compliance calendar: PAYE, VAT, WH
T,
CIT, Pension, HF, and NSITF.
• Manage all filings via TaxPro Max and ensure zero p enalties for lte remittances.
• Act as the lead contact for FIRS/LIRS querie s a nd annual CBN prdent i al returns.
• ayroll Management
• End-to-end processing for
NG
N and FX-paid staf via Zoho Payroll.
• Ensure100% accuracy in satutory deductions.

. Accounts Payable (P) & Receivable (AR)
• Enforce a three-w a y match control for ll supplier payments.
• Manage the AP/AR aging reports, ensuring timely col lections and professioal supplier relations.
• Oversee petty cash and employee expe n se reimbursements in lne with co mpa ny policy.
• FinancialControls & Audit Support
• Maintain a clean, audit-re a dy General Ledger with dily transaction postings.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations fo r a ll local and foreign accouts by the 5th working day.
• Maintain the F i xed Asset Register and Accuals/Prepayments schedules.
•
Serve as the primary liaisonforannual statutory audits.
6.Budget Monitoring & Reporting
•
Produce monthly spend-vs-budge reports for all cost centers.
• Provide the CEO/CFO with wee kly cash position summaries a n monthly payroll cost analysis
Requirements & Qualifications
• Education: BSc/HND in Accounting or
Fi nance. ICAN/ACCA membership (AC preferred; finalists considered).
• Experience: 7 years in finance operati ons
, specifically within Fintech, Bankng, or Multi-currency environments.
• Technical Knowledge: * Profound understanding of N i gerian Tax Law (PITA, CITA, VATA) ad CBN financial sector requireme nts
.
o Hands-on experience with FX riskmanagement and correspondent banking.
• Software: Proficiency in Zoho Books/Payr o ll, QuickBooks, or SAP. Advanced Exce (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is mandatory.
• Attributes: High integrity, "zero-err or"
mindset, and the ability to meet immovble statutorydeadlines under pressure
