Job Summary

Ash Nelson Partners is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to own the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology projects across our client portfolio. You will manage cross-functional teams of engineers, developers, and support staff, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Beyond delivery, this role has a significant commercial dimension: you will actively support presales engagements, help shape new business opportunities, and drive innovation initiatives that push our capabilities forward.

The role owner would be responsible for oversight of Ash Nelson Partners' technology delivery function.

Primary Responsibilities

Project Management and Governance

Own the planning, governance, and execution of delivery engagements from initiation to closure, applying appropriate methodologies as each engagement requires.

Lead requirement gathering and refinement; translate agreed requirements into prioritised tasks and maintain a baseline against which progress and scope changes are measured.

Own delivery against agreed scope, timeline, and budget; track costs and utilisation, report financial performance to senior leadership, and escalate budget risks early.

Maintain risk registers across the portfolio and ensure identified risks are escalated, mitigated, and tracked to resolution.

Plan and manage the allocation of delivery resource across concurrent engagements, ensuring workload is distributed appropriately and capacity constraints are flagged in advance

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the senior delivery point of contact for clients across the portfolio, owning governance conversations, escalation management, and ongoing relationship quality.

Lead client steering meetings, project reviews, and delivery forums, communicating status, decisions, and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Manage client expectations throughout engagements, addressing emerging concerns promptly and maintaining confidence in the team's ability to deliver.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with OEM and technology partners, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors involved in delivery.

Monitor the quality of client engagement across the portfolio and ensure any deterioration in relationship quality is identified and addressed.

Delivery Coordination Coordinate the efforts of the delivery team across active projects and support engagements, directing task priorities, managing dependencies, and ensuring the team operates in a structured and consistent manner.

Maintain oversight of the full delivery portfolio, tracking progress, identifying risks and blockers early, and taking action to resolve them before they affect client outcomes.

Define and maintain the delivery processes, standards, and operating procedures the team works by, reviewing and improving them on an ongoing basis.

Ensure all project documentation, status reports, and delivery dashboards are accurate, current, and accessible to internal and external stakeholders at all times.

Coordinate with support teams to ensure service level commitments are met across all active client engagements.

Presales and Commercial Support

Work with the commercial and sales teams to scope and shape new engagements during the presales phase, contributing delivery methodology, resource estimates, and risk assessments to proposals and statements of work.

Participate in client discovery meetings and presales presentations, representing the delivery function Support the transition from agreed contract to active delivery, ensuring that commitments made during presales are accurately reflected in the delivery plan and communicated to the team.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

Identify inefficiencies and gaps in how the delivery function operates and lead improvements that raise the quality, consistency, and speed of delivery across the team.

Capture lessons learned from completed engagements and ensure they inform how the team approaches future work.
