Job Summary The Regional Head, Commercial Banking will be responsible for driving business growth, profitability, and market share across assigned regions. The role requires strategic leadership in managing commercial banking portfolios, deepening client relationships, and leading high-performing teams to deliver on revenue and risk objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and execution of commercial banking strategies across assigned regions
• Drive revenue growth through acquisition of new clients and expansion of existing portfolios
• Manage and grow a robust portfolio of SME and mid-market clients across key sectors
• Provide leadership and direction to regional commercial banking teams to achieve performance targets
• Oversee credit structuring, risk assessment, and portfolio quality to ensure minimal non-performing loans
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate and commercial clients
• Identify market opportunities and drive innovative financial solutions tailored to client needs
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (risk, operations, treasury, etc.) to ensure seamless service delivery
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform business strategy
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
• Minimum of 6–10 years’ experience in banking, with a strong focus on commercial banking
• .Proven track record in business development, portfolio management, and revenue generation
• .Strong leadership experience managing teams across multiple locations
• .Deep understanding of credit analysis, risk management, and financial structuring
• .Strong network within the commercial/SME banking space
• .Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
