• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, ensuring high standards of accuracy and professional development.
• Internal Controls: Evaluate and enhance internal accounting controls to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets.
• Audit & Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audit processes; ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and tax regulations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and perform regular variance analysis to support executive decision-making.
• Asset Management: Maintain oversight of fixed asset registers and manage depreciation schedules and valuations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Certification: Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN or ACCA qualified).
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the professional services or energy sectors.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Technical Proficiency: Intermediate - expertise in Excel and experience with ERP software
• Competencies: Strong leadership capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and highly analytical.
