• Educate patients on diagnostic procedure, including what to expect, duration, and any preparation required
• Register patient at the nursing station, inquire about allergies, and previous medical history relevant to imaging procedures.
• Obtain informed consent for procedures involving contrast infusion or sedation.
• Monitor and record vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer intravenous contrast under the guidance of the radiologist.
• Recognize and respond to contrast reactions or emergencies
• Initiate appropriate actions in the event of adverse reactions or patient distress.
• Coordinate with the anesthesia team for patients requiring sedation, including pre-sedation checklist and recovery monitoring.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient procedures, consent forms, vital signs, and contrast administration.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory policies regarding sedation, contrast infusion, and patient monitoring.
