Job Description
Role Summary
• Support the financial operations of the company including bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax compliance, payroll processing, and project cost tracking under the supervision of the Senior Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and books of account.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Process staff payroll, statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, NHF), and vendor payments.
• Track project costs, prepare project financial reports, and support budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws (FIRS), pension regulations (PenCom), & company financial policies.
• Manage petty cash, bank reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.
• Support external audits and prepare audit schedules.
Minimum Requirements
• B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years post-NYSC experience in accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, IFRS, and pension regulations.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Completion of NYSC (mandatory).
Added Advantage:
• ACA (ICAN) or ACCA qualification (in-view acceptable).
• Experience in oil and gas industry accounting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
