Job Description
The Role

• This role is ideal for someone who is experienced and understands how to prospect, guide clients, close sales, and build lasting relationships with high ticket clients through acquisitions, ensuring a seamless and thoughtful engagement, whilst maintaining the organisation’s brand image.
• The ideal candidate is a self-starter, showing confidence in client-facing environments, understands relationship-led sales, communicates clearly and professionaly, and is passionate about luxury products and services and the cultural value of contemporary African art.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients and colectors.
• Actively drive artwork sales through direct prospecting, sales closures, client engagement and folow-ups.
• Present and communicate artworks to clients with clarity, context, and confidence.
• Manage client inquiries, acquisition processes, and post-sale communication.
• Support the development of sales strategies and colector outreach initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal teams on exhibitions, releases, patrons socials programming, and client presentations.
• Maintain accurate client and sales records using automated systems and processes as provided by the organisation or self-initiated.
• Proactively identify and cultivate new individual colectors, corporate buyers, and institutional clients.
• Maintain discretion and professionalism when handling high-value clientele.
• Develop the business through initiated ideas or company programming.
Requirements The Ideal Candidate:
• Must have 3 years of sales experience.
• Must have access to high-networth / affluent people / elite circle.
• Sales experience in the luxury industry is a plus.
• Unafraid of doing hard things.
• Self-driven and motivated.
• Trustworthy.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated experience in sales, client relations, and business development.
• Ability to build trust and nurture long-term client relationships
• Interest in art, culture, or the creative industries is highly desirable.
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
