Role Summary The Managing Director, Investment Banking, will provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the firm’s investment banking division. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth, originating and executing high-value transactions, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of best-in-class advisory services across mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, and structured finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Investment Banking division’s strategy in line with overall business objectives.

• Drive revenue growth through deal origination, client acquisition, and portfolio expansion.

• Originate and lead execution of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and structured finance transactions.

• Oversee end-to-end deal lifecycle from pitching to closing.

• Provide high-level financial advisory to clients on strategic and investment decisions.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, investors, and key stakeholders.

• Identify new business opportunities, sectors, and innovative financial solutions.

• Lead negotiations and structure complex financial transactions.

• Ensure delivery of high-quality financial modelling, valuation, and deal documentation.

• Provide leadership, direction, and performance oversight for the investment banking team.

• Drive talent development, succession planning, and team capacity building.

• Monitor and deliver on revenue, profitability, and performance targets.

• Ensure effective risk management across all transactions and advisory engagements.

• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.

• Represent the firm at industry engagements, client meetings, and strategic forums.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is strongly preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related field, with at least 7 years in senior leadership roles.

• Proven track record in originating and executing large, complex financial transactions.

• Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation, capital markets, and deal structuring.

• Having a deep understanding of local and global financial markets and regulatory frameworks.

• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
