• Maintains the general ledger, prepares financial statements, and ensures proper bookkeeping in accordance with Nigerian accounting standards and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, trial balances, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian Accounting Standards (NAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic budget variance analysis.
• Assist in payroll processing, tax remittances, and pension administration.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation.
• Ensure proper filing and archiving of all accounting records.
Specific Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ANAN, ACCA) or part-qualification is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment of 3–6 months minimum.

• Must be a Nigerian citizen or legal resident.
• Minimum age of 18 years.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hausa or local languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel to field locations within assigned states, including rural and underserved communities.
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, internet); advanced digital skills required for technical roles.
• Must possess a valid means of identification (National ID, Voter's Card, Driver's License, or International Passport).
