Job Description
About the Role • A commercially minded and execution-driven Project Manager – Agriculture & Agro-Allied Manufacturing is sought to lead end-to-end agricultural, agro-processing, and manufacturing projects across Nigeria.
• This role extends beyond traditional project coordination and requires a strategic operator capable of bridging technical project delivery, manufacturing efficiency, stakeholder management, and commercial growth.
• The successful candidate will oversee project development from concept through execution, ensuring agricultural and agro-industrial ventures are operationally sound, financially viable, and positioned for scalable growth.
• The ideal professional must understand agricultural value chains, manufacturing systems, operational optimization, and investor-facing project structures.
Key Responsibilities

Project Development & Execution:

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of agriculture and agro-processing manufacturing projects from feasibility through commercial execution.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, operational frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure successful delivery within agreed timelines, budget parameters, and strategic business goals.
Manufacturing & Operational Strategy:
• Oversee farm-to-processing value chain development, including sourcing, production systems, processing infrastructure, and supply chain optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, OEMs, production units, and agribusiness stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
• Implement process improvements that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and strengthen profitability.
Financial & Commercial Oversight:
• Work closely with finance teams to develop robust project financial models, feasibility studies, and ROI assessments.
• Monitor budgets, capital deployment, and cost controls to ensure strong commercial performance.
• Identify strategic opportunities for funding, partnerships, and long-term project expansion.
Stakeholder & Partnership Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, agribusiness operators, suppliers, investors, development institutions, and local communities.
• Represent the organization in commercial discussions, strategic partnerships, and project negotiations.
• Ensure stakeholder alignment with project objectives and long-term investment outcomes.
Compliance, Quality & Governance:
• Ensure projects comply with agricultural regulations, environmental standards, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.
• Conduct operational audits and implement governance structures to safeguard project integrity.
• Maintain structured project documentation, reporting, and executive updates.
Market Intelligence & Innovation:
• Monitor agricultural, manufacturing, and agro-industrial trends to identify innovation opportunities.
• Provide strategic recommendations on emerging technologies, operational systems, and sector investment opportunities.
• Support the organization’s broader mission of building commercially sustainable agricultural enterprises.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Engineering, Agribusiness, Project Management, or related field.
• 2–5 years of project management experience in agriculture, agro-processing, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
• Strong understanding of agricultural value chains, manufacturing systems, and operational project execution.
• Proven experience in budgeting, financial modelling, and commercial project analysis.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Trello, etc.).
• Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are an added advantage.
