Job Description
Position: Certified Accountant
Overview: An Accountant who will be responsible for the management and reporting of the financial data of an organization. Their duties include preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing a company's accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.
Responsibilities
• Management
Ø Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
Ø Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.
• Materials Requisition
Ø Request of sharp Sand, granite, Top soil, and Black soil from each site
Ø Liaising with the management for the delivery of any requisition form at each site
Ø Arranging with the truck driver to deliver and pick up the requested materials within a specific time
Ø Monitor and report on the truck drivers and the trucks
• Maintenance
Ø Liaising with the management to give service to repair the contract
Ø Interface with external Contractors for maintenance and services
Ø Ensure service is being delivered from some vendors, engineers, and users in the department
• Report financial results to the business Owner
Ø Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
Ø Ensure daily coverage on all payment vouchers raised and proper classifications of expenses
Ø Develop financial and tax strategies.
Ø Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
Ø Ensure cheques raised and cash collected.
Ø Enforce petty cash reports and posting
Ø Enforce the acknowledged invoice report
Ø Ensure Payee remittance
• Expenditure management
Ø Ensure expenditure is controlled within standard company guidelines.
Ø Ensure expenditures are verified and ratified with control departments
Ø Ensure expenditure reports are given monthly with verification from admin/operations.
Ø Internal Controls
Ø Ensure company compliance with laid down policies and cooperation with other departments.
Ø Establish from time to time internal control systems to safeguard the company’s assets and resources, filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
Ø Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
Ø Analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance.
Ø Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheets
Ø Generate reconciliation of bank statements
Ø Participate in key decisions as a member of the Management Executive Committee
• Teamwork:
Ø Team player with an interest in business dynamics
Ø Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
• Communication:
Ø Communicating in simple and effective language via emails or phone calls to achieve.
Ø Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
