The Clinical Instructor (Midwifery) will supervise and mentor students during midwifery clinical postings, ensuring they acquire and demonstrate the practical competencies required for safe, high-quality maternal and newborn care.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise, guide, and mentor students during midwifery clinical postings.
• Demonstrate, teach, and assess practical midwifery skills at the bedside and in the skills laboratory.
• Ensure students meet required clinical competencies and complete logbook/portfolio requirements.
• Liaise with clinical placement facilities and ward staff to coordinate student learning.
• Monitor student conduct, safety, and adherence to professional and ethical standards.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and document clinical performance.
• Support the integration of theory into clinical practice.
• Participate in curriculum review and quality assurance of clinical training.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, clinical hours, and progress.
• Perform other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements:
• Registered Midwife (RM) with a current, valid NMCN licence; dual RN/RM is an advantage.
• Minimum of a BNSc/B.Sc (Nursing/Midwifery).
• Strong, current clinical midwifery practice experience.
• Preceptorship or clinical-instruction experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to teach, demonstrate, and assess practical clinical skills effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Willingness to supervise students across clinical placement facilities, including flexible hours as needed.
